Dr Helen Darling

Asia Pacific Centre for Food Integrity

Helen Darling completed a PhD in Public Health at the Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago. In 2007 she was one of the founders of a company to establish the provenance of food and other natural products. Most recently, she founded the Asia Pacific Centre for Food Integrity which works across the supply chain to lift knowledge around food integrity, supports exporters to get safe food to market (safely), works with exporters and importers, and provides food integrity education. Work of the APCFI is primarily undertaken in New Zealand and China. Helen also holds governance positions on a Crown Research Institute (the Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR)), is an advisory board member of Export NZ, and is on the Food Ingredients Expert Committee for the United States Pharmacopoeial Convention (USP) and on an Expert Panel for the Intentional Adulteration of Food (USP).
