In the past the functions of food safety, food quality, authenticity, consumer expectations and trade have been viewed as separate components of a food supply chain, however, transgressions for any one of these functions impacts on the viability of the food product.  
Food Integrity 2016 is designed to bring together producers, exporters, importers, regulators and consumers to discuss current issues, emerging trends and mitigation strategies.   
The conference focusses on supply chain integrity issues between China and New Zealand. In its broadest sense this refers to the marketing, safety, integrity and logistics of food products. It includes the environment that food producers operate in, and in particular will address concerns of Chinese producers in NZ and those in China wishing to export. The conference will also explore consumer food expectations and the fluid and sometimes fickle way they respond to food issues and food claims.
食品安全、食品质量、食品真伪、消费者对食品的期望以及食品贸易等等,以往这些问题在整个食品供应链中都被独立对待,然而,这些过程中任何以个环节的越轨行为都会影响食品的生命力。2016年食品安全与完整性研讨会的宗旨是让食品生产商、食品进出口商、监管部门和消费者在一起,共同研讨当下的状况、新的趋势和解决问题的对策。本届研讨会的主题将聚焦在新中两国间的食品供应链安全可靠性问题。从广义上看,研讨会的主题将牵涉到市场、食品安全、食品的完整可靠性以及食品的运输环节等等,还将包括生产食品的环境,研讨会将特别注重一些新西兰的华人食品生产商和中国的食品出口商所共同关心的问题。研讨会也将讨论消费者对食品的要求,包括消费者对食品问题所反应出的不固定的甚至是易变化的态度。
